Zayed University and"Dubai Culture" Celebrating the graduation of the first batch of the Museum Management Program

DUBAI, 4th May / WAM / Zayed University and the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority “Dubai Culture” celebrated the graduation of the first batch of members of the Museum Management and Evaluative Studies Program in a step that embodies the depth of their strategic partnership aimed at preparing qualified Emirati competencies to assume leadership roles in museums and cultural institutions.
The ceremony was held at the Innovation Center on the campus of Zayed University in Dubai, in the presence of Hala Badri, Director General of Dubai Culture, Dr. Kevin Hall, Director of Zayed University, and Mona Faisal Al Gurg, Executive Director of the Museums and Heritage Sector at Dubai Culture, along with a number of participating officials, academics, and students. 10 students presented their final projects that reflected the outcome of their knowledge and practical experiences during the program.
The program was jointly developed by the Institute of Vocational Education and Continuing Learning and the College of Arts and Creative Industries at Zayed University in cooperation with Dubai Culture, as an extension of a partnership announced in 2025. The program combines academic qualification and practical training, which contributes to supporting the growth of the cultural sector in the country.
Kevin Hall stressed the university’s keenness to empower a generation of national leaders capable of developing the cultural sector, noting that the program represents a model of integration between education and practical application.
For her part, Mona Al Gurg explained that the program reflects Dubai Culture’s commitment to qualifying national competencies in accordance with international best practices and enhancing the role of museums in preserving national identity and presenting it in contemporary formats.
The program included an integrated educational trip that included practical training for 16 weeks within Dubai Culture Museums and 12 weeks of participation in cultural events before presenting the projects before a joint committee, with the expectation that a number of graduates will move on to potential job opportunities.
The event concluded with the distribution of certificates to graduates, with an intention to launch a second batch based on the success of the experience.
