The Dubai Health Authority enhances services for people of determination with a unified medical reference

DUBAI, 4th May / WAM / The Dubai Health Authority revealed the “Unified Medical Report Project for People of Determination”, as a unified medical reference for diagnosis and classification mechanisms, supporting the one-government approach through integrated digital systems, one of the initiatives of the “Services for People of Determination” team within the “City Builders Initiative”, affiliated with the General Secretariat of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Dubai, which includes the Dubai Health Authority, the Community Development Authority, Dubai Health, the Dubai Government Human Resources Department, the Knowledge and Human Development Authority, and the Police. Dubai, Parkin Company, the Dubai Autism Center, and the Dubai Club for People of Determination, within the framework of joint work to develop integrated proactive services for this group and their families.
This came during the virtual specialized forum organized by the Community Development Authority in cooperation with the Dubai Health Authority, where the Authority reviewed the foundations of the project and its role in developing the customer’s journey and improving the efficiency of access to services.
The unified report aims to unify diagnostic and classification mechanisms and enhance the accuracy of assessments, as it is the basis for enabling concerned parties to provide proactive services based on accurate data, which contributes to improving the efficiency of access to services and their integration.
The project is based on an integrated digital system that links the “Nabed” system to the relevant systems, and allows the preparation of unified medical reports according to the International Classification of Diseases (ICD-10), which enhances the reliability of health data and supports decision-making based on accurate scientific foundations.
The project also provides an integrated digital journey that begins with evaluating the condition in an accredited health facility, through recording the diagnosis and preparing the medical report according to the unified form, all the way to issuing the “Sanad” card, enabling people of determination to access services through digital channels efficiently and quickly.
The Dubai Health Authority noted the effective role played by the project in achieving a direct impact for people of determination by accelerating access to services and ensuring fair and consistent evaluation. It also supports the efficiency of the government system by improving the accuracy of diagnosis and enhancing data integration among concerned parties.
The project also represents a strategic value that supports Dubai’s trends towards digital transformation, enhances data-based decision-making, and consolidates the one-government approach through systems integration and standardization of procedures.
Dr. Atef Saleh, Director of the General Medical Committee Office at the Dubai Health Authority, said that the Unified Medical Report Project for People of Determination constitutes a qualitative leap in the development of the medical evaluation system, by unifying standards, improving customer experience, enhancing the reliability of medical reports, and reducing variation in case evaluation, by adopting unified methodologies based on the International Classification of Diseases and Functional Impact Evaluation, in a way that ensures the fairness and transparency of case classification.
He stressed that the project supports Dubai’s trends in building an advanced and integrated digital health system, based on data, and keeping pace with international best practices, which contributes to improving the quality of life and consolidating the emirate’s position in providing proactive and integrated health and humanitarian services.
For her part, Maitha Al Shamsi, Executive Director of the Community Empowerment Sector at the Community Development Authority in Dubai, said that the unified medical report project for people of determination embodies an advanced model of government integration, and reflects the authority’s commitment to enhancing the quality of life for people of determination and their families, through developing interconnected social and health services based on accurate data and an integrated digital system.
She added that the project contributes to simplifying the customer’s journey, and enabling people of determination to access services efficiently and smoothly, thus enhancing their effective integration into society, and consolidating the principles of justice and equal opportunities, in line with the goals of “Dubai Social Agenda 33,” and confirms Dubai’s leadership in adopting innovative solutions and a proactive approach to social work.
It is noteworthy that the initiative comes within a package of initiatives that the “Services for People of Determination” team is working on as part of the “City Builders” initiative, which aims to provide easy, integrated and proactive services to all parties participating within the team.
