The French President: The Iranian strikes that targeted civilian facilities in the Emirates are neither justified nor acceptable
Paris, 5 May / WAM / French President Emmanuel Macron confirmed that the Iranian strikes that targeted civilian facilities in the United Arab Emirates on Monday were unjustified and unacceptable.
Macron said in a post on the “X” platform that France will continue to support its allies in the Emirates and in the region to defend their lands.
He stressed that achieving a permanent solution to the conflict remains dependent on reopening the Strait of Hormuz to freedom of navigation, in addition to concluding a strong agreement that provides the necessary security guarantees for the countries of the region, noting that these guarantees must include confronting the threats associated with the Iranian nuclear and missile programs, as well as activities aimed at destabilizing the region.
