The Director General of the General Administration for Monitoring and Treating Negative Phenomena, Yasser bin Siraj Bakhsh, explained that the field teams monitored the presence of workers managing the site and exploiting "Waste" of used sponge and cotton, and processing them using primitive means in an unhealthy environment, through cutting, pressing and packaging processes, in preparation for recycling them and producing furniture that is later marketed and distributed to commercial stores.
Operational Equipment
He indicated that the sites contain operational equipment used in production operations, while the campaign resulted in the arrest of two workers who were handed over to the competent authorities for violating residency regulations. And work.
He added that the inventory work resulted in the seizure of large quantities of furniture, of which (5,000) usable pieces were delivered according to the established procedures, while the concerned authorities began seizing and confiscating the equipment, as the Jeddah Company began dismantling and withdrawing the heavy machinery.

He pointed out that the sites were completely closed by the South Sub-municipality, in preparation for completion Regular procedures and implementation of the list of municipal penalties and fines.
He added that the campaign was implemented with the participation of Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, the Ministry of Commerce, Field Control, and Civil Defense, within the framework of integrated government efforts to enhance compliance and reduce violating activities.
