The Ministry of Defense enters into a strategic partnership with "M42" and"Burjeel Holding" To support the World Congress of Military Medicine

ABU DHABI, 7 MAY / WAM / The Ministry of Defense signed two partnership agreements with “M42”, a technology-based integrated healthcare company, and “Burjeel Holding”, one of the most prominent providers of specialized healthcare services, with the aim of supporting the organization of the 46th World Congress of Military Medicine – Abu Dhabi 2026, as the “strategic partner” of the conference scheduled to be held in Abu Dhabi during the period from 9 to 13 November 2026.
The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the “Make in the UAE 2026” exhibition, in the presence of Sheikh Zayed bin Mansour bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Chairman of Strategic Cooperations at M42, Major General Aisha Sultan Al Dhaheri, Head of the Executive Department of Military Health at the Ministry of Defence, Dimitris Molavasilis, CEO of M42 Group, and Dr. Shamsheer Vayalil, Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Burjeel Holding Group.
The agreements were signed by the Ministry of Defense by Brigadier General Saeed Salem Al-Hafiti and Brigadier General Abdullah Rashid Al-Naqbi, along with Omran Al-Khouri, a member of the Board of Directors of Burjeel Holding, and Dr. Ali Anis, Chief Operating Officer of the global patient care platform at “M42” in the UAE and Bahrain.
This partnership comes within the framework of the Ministry of Defense’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the system of partners supporting Congress, and to expand the horizons of cooperation with leading health institutions in various fields of military and civilian medicine.
The World Congress of Military Medicine, organized by the Ministry of Defense in cooperation with the ADNEC Group, is a leading international scientific platform that brings together elite medical and military leaders, experts, researchers and practitioners from more than 120 countries, with the aim of exchanging knowledge, reviewing scientific developments, and enhancing international cooperation in the fields of health care and medical operations, under the slogan “Unified care… global impact.”
Major General Aisha Sultan Al Dhaheri said that the Ministry of Defense continues to work closely with its strategic partners to organize a distinguished edition of the World Congress of Military Medicine Abu Dhabi 2026, to reflect the UAE’s advanced capabilities in the fields of military and civilian health care.
She added that the partnership with Burjeel reflects the commitment to enhancing medical readiness, enabling all parties and participants to exchange knowledge, and contributing to the development of resilient health systems by focusing on national and international institutions.
