Al-Fadhli, during the tour in which he was accompanied by a number of leaders from the system’s sectors, reviewed the readiness of water projects, and the level of technical and operational preparations for this year’s Hajj, including production, transportation, storage and distribution, as part of efforts aimed at securing the water supply for the pilgrims and improving the quality of services provided to them.

Strategic Storage Facilities

The Minister of Environment made a field inspection of the strategic storage facilities in "dipped"pumping stations, and distribution networks, all the way to treatment plants, as well as additional supply plans and emergency plans.
In addition to the operation and maintenance center, it is one of the 27 operation and maintenance centers in the Holy Sites, which works on directing operational events and responding to reports through qualified field teams.
The centers were also provided with technical systems in alignment with the monitoring and control center in Mina, which in turn works to follow up operational processes and monitor operational performance around the clock, including Water storage and pumping operations, and measuring the pressure level in the networks, which ensures the quality of services provided to the pilgrims.
Al-Fadhli conducted a field inspection of the progress of work in the mobile laboratory and its techniques. And reviewing operational plans to ensure the availability of water supplies, food safety, air quality, waste management, monitoring environmental compliance, and pest control.
He stressed the completion of the preparations of all parts of the system and their readiness to provide the best services to the guests of the Holy House of God, and enable them to perform their rituals with ease and reassurance.
During the meeting, he reviewed the operational plan of the National Water Company, which more than 2,400 employees are working on implementing, to ensure continuous pumping around the clock during the days of the season, with a daily average of more than 760 thousand cubic meters, and quantities may reach one million cubic meters on the day of Arafa and Eid al-Adha.
In addition to the completion of 12 infrastructure projects with lengths exceeding 24 thousand linear meters, and conducting 4000 laboratory tests daily.

Enhancing food security

"Al-Akishiya" allocated for the safe disposal of solid waste from private slaughterhouses during the Hajj season, in cooperation with the National Agricultural Services Company.

He stressed "Moan" The importance of the project that will be launched by the Amiral slaughterhouse (Al-An’am Model City), which will contribute to treating solid slaughterhouse waste with a capacity of up to 2,000 tons annually, and 500 tons annually for blood waste, as the project meets all the regulatory and technical requirements approved by the center.

Readiness of markets and private slaughterhouses

The National Company for Agricultural Services reviewed its efforts during this season, which are to ensure the readiness of markets and private slaughterhouses, And the readiness of the engineering cell in Mardam "Al-Akishiya" For the safe disposal of solid waste from slaughterhouses during the Hajj season, and issuing import permits electronically for plant and animal consignments after ensuring that they comply with health conditions.
In addition to providing quarry services, which include: verification of health documents and certificates, virtual examination, diagnosis and laboratory analysis of samples, and then clearing consignments to cover local demand during the Hajj season and consignments for the Kingdom’s project to benefit from gifts and sacrifices.

The Center harnessed the integrated monitoring system to enhance the safety of lives and property, and raise operational readiness, represented by a comprehensive field monitoring network that includes 92 monitoring units. Precisely distributed, including manned stations, weather monitoring radar systems, and upper atmosphere monitoring systems, in addition to monitoring via satellite.
In Mecca and the Holy Sites, the center activated an integrated monitoring system that includes 15 automatic stations and 3 manned stations, in addition to a specialized system for monitoring the upper atmosphere, which enhances the accuracy of weather monitoring around the clock, and strengthened its operational capabilities in Jeddah and Medina through 41 automatic stations and 4 Mobile stations.
In addition to Doppler radar and advanced monitoring systems, to support monitoring, analysis, and weather forecasts with high accuracy and efficiency.
In Taif and Yanbu, the monitoring system included 11 automatic stations, two mobile stations, and two manned stations, with the aim of enhancing air coverage and raising the level of readiness in vital sites associated with serving the pilgrims.

Supervision and control of private slaughterhouses
