المملكة: “Al-Laith Environment” confiscates 80 kilograms of violating fish as part of its monitoring campaigns
The supervisory teams of the Office of Approved fishing regulations and instructions, as part of the ongoing field tours carried out by the office on Fishermen’s ports and fish marketing sites in the governorate.
These efforts come within the framework of strengthening control over marine activities and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and no-fishing periods, which contributes to protecting fish stocks and maintaining the sustainability of marine resources.
Fishing requirements
The director of the office, Engineer Yahya bin Abdul Rahman Al Mahabi, said that legal measures have been taken against violators in accordance with applicable regulations and instructions, stressing the continuation of monitoring and awareness campaigns to ensure compliance with the requirements regulating fishing and marketing operations.
These monitoring tours reflect the keenness of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture to protect marine wealth and develop the sustainable fishing sector, in a way that achieves environmental balance and supports food security and the local economy.
