The resignation of the fourth official from Starmer’s government

British media reported, on Tuesday, the resignation of a fourth official from the Labor Party government, while calling on British Prime Minister Keir Starmer to step down from the leadership of the party.
According to The Guardian, more than 100 Labor MPs signed a letter stressing that “the time is not right for a leadership battle,” in an attempt to show support for Starmer within the party.
She said the number of signatories is still rising. The letter stated: “Last week we witnessed very difficult and painful election results, and this shows that we have a lot of work ahead of us to restore the confidence of voters.”
The newspaper said that British Health Minister Zubair Ahmed resigned from his position and called on Starmer to step down.

This raised speculation within the party about the possibility of its ally Wes Streeting moving to run in a race for the leadership of the Labor Party, if pressure on Starmer mounts in the coming period.
Starmer defied calls for his resignation on Tuesday, telling the Cabinet that he would “continue in office” despite the “destabilizing” demands.
At a meeting of his ministerial team, Starmer, who has held the top job for less than two years, said that despite bearing responsibility for one of Labour’s worst electoral defeats, there was no formal move to hold a leadership election.
