Latifa Bint Mohammed discusses with the Swedish Ambassador enhancing cooperation in the cultural and creative fields

Dubai, May 12 / WAM / Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairwoman of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, met with His Excellency Fredrik Florin, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to the country.

During the meeting, ways to expand the horizons of cultural and creative cooperation between Dubai and Sweden were discussed, and partnership opportunities were reviewed in the fields of culture, education, innovation, music, design and the creative economy.

Her Highness expressed her appreciation for the advanced cooperation and friendship relations between the UAE and the Kingdom of Sweden, and praised the great interest that the Swedish government gives to the cultural and creative sector. Her Highness noted the convergence of views on the importance of enhancing the factors for the growth and prosperity of the creative economy, expressing her hope to expand the horizons of cooperation between the two sides in this field during the next stage.

Her Highness added: Dubai, with the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, continues to consolidate its position as a global center for culture and an incubator for creativity, by building international partnerships that support cultural mobility and knowledge exchange, and contribute to the development of sustainable cultural systems that enhance the competitiveness of the creative economy.

The meeting was attended by Her Excellency Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi, Minister of State for International Cooperation, Her Excellency Maryam bint Ahmed Al Hammadi, Minister of State and Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, His Excellency Saeed Al Eter, Head of the UAE Government Media Office, and a number of officials.

For his part, His Excellency Frederik Florin appreciated the depth of relations between the UAE and the Kingdom of Sweden, pointing out the importance of this meeting in opening new horizons for cooperation in the cultural and creative fields, and strengthening partnerships that contribute to supporting innovation.

He also praised the qualitative development achieved by the Emirate of Dubai in consolidating its presence on the global cultural map, through its advanced cultural system and qualitative initiatives that enhance the creative scene and contribute to attracting competencies and talents from various parts of the world.
