Advanced missile defense system
Trump directed the Pentagon in late January 2025 to prepare plans to create an advanced missile defense system, which he initially called "America’s Iron Dome"

However, the Congressional Budget Office indicated in the same month that the cost of deploying space-based missile interception systems capable of confronting a limited number of intercontinental ballistic missiles ranged between $161 billion and $542 billion over 20 years.
