Swimmer Hussein Shawqi gives the UAE a bronze medal at the Gulf Games

Doha, May 14 / WAM / Swimmer Hussein Shawqi, player of the Abu Dhabi Water Sports Club and the national team, presented a bronze medal to the UAE in the second day’s swimming competitions within the Gulf Games hosted by the Qatari capital, Doha, and continuing until May 22.
Shawqi won the bronze medal in the 100-meter freestyle race, recording a time of 51.84 seconds, while the Qatari swimmer Ali Tamer topped the race with a time of 49.78 seconds, followed second by Saudi Imad Al-Din Al-Zaben with a time of 50.58 seconds.
The national swimming team is participating in the competitions with three swimmers: Hussein Shawqi, Eid Al-Majini, and Suhail Al-Hinai.
