The Head of State receives a phone call from the Russian President

Yesterday, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, received a phone call from the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, during which they discussed various aspects of cooperation and joint work to enhance the strategic partnership that brings together the two countries, and achieve its goals at all levels.

During the call, President Vladimir Putin expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Highness the President for the ongoing mediation efforts successfully undertaken by the UAE regarding prisoner exchanges between Russia and Ukraine, and the importance of these endeavors and their humanitarian impact.

During the call, the two sides also reviewed a number of regional and international issues of common interest, and exchanged views on them, most notably the developments in the situation in the Middle East region and its dangerous repercussions on regional and international security and peace, and its effects on freedom of international navigation, energy security, and the global economy.

• Vladimir Putin thanked the President of the UAE for the ongoing mediation efforts successfully carried out by the UAE regarding the prisoner exchange operations between Russia and Ukraine.
