Developing the work of the guidance system

The authority explained that the initiative aims to reduce the rate of distraction among visitors to 8% during the Ramadan season 1447 AH, by developing the work of the guidance system from which more than 639,770 beneficiaries have benefited, in a way that contributes to facilitating access to sites and services inside the Grand Mosque and its courtyards.

The plan is approved. To enhance the efficiency of fixed guide points, which number 15 points, in addition to expanding the use of foot teams that include 40 field personnel, allowing greater flexibility in directing visitors and guiding them to their various locations, especially in dense areas.

Within the framework of expanding the scope of the service, the authority indicated an increase in the human staff to reach 20 additional people, which enhances field deployment and increases the efficiency of providing direct guidance to the pilgrims.

The Authority is also working on studying the results of activating the simultaneous translation devices that were used during the last Ramadan season, to analyze the positives and challenges in preparation for its wider adoption and development during the Hajj season 1447 AH, in a way that supports communication with visitors of different nationalities.

This initiative comes within the system of development services provided by the Authority, in confirmation of providing an easy and safe experience for the guests of God, and achieving the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 in serving the Two Holy Mosques.
