More than 1,000 runners, male and female, from 79 nationalities are participating in the Dubai Snow Run

Dubai, 18 May / WAM / More than 1,000 runners, male and female, from 79 nationalities from various continents of the world, including 327 male and female citizens of various age groups, participated in the Dubai Snow Running Race, which was organized by the Dubai Sports Council yesterday in cooperation with Ski Dubai in the Mall of the Emirates, for the seventh year in a row.

This year’s edition was held under the slogan “We Grow in Our Unity”, coinciding with the “Year of the Family” initiative in the UAE, in a sports and entertainment atmosphere that brought together families and friends in a unique winter experience, amid wide interaction from fans of sports and physical activity.

In the women’s 5-kilometer race, Pia Hanske took first place with a time of 24 minutes and 41 seconds, followed by Paula Garcia in second place with a time of 27 minutes and 44 seconds, and then Gabriela Fato third with a time of 27 minutes and 48 seconds.

On the men’s level for the same distance, Igor Mishutin took first place with a time of 20 minutes and 32 seconds, ahead of Yon Moreno, who came in second place with a time of 20 minutes and 46 seconds, while Vegard Hansky came third with a time of 21 minutes and 40 seconds.

In the women’s 3 km competition, Sophie Geddes took first place after finishing the race in 18 minutes and 25 seconds, Lisette Borguera came in second with a time of 20 minutes and 21 seconds, while Olga Belokrylova came in third with a time of 20 minutes and 22 seconds.

In the men’s 3 km category, Mohammed Al Hassani took first place with a time of 13 minutes and 38 seconds, followed by Jason Londono Franco in second place with a time of 15 minutes and 25 seconds, then Omar Al Muhairi in third place with a time of 16 minutes and 3 seconds.

In the team competitions, the Dubai Police team took first place with an average time of 16 minutes and 37 seconds, and the “C4 Mall of the Emirates” team came in second place with an average of 28 minutes and 33 seconds, while “The Five” team came third with an average time of 29 minutes and 53 seconds.
