Regional partnership between"ADNOC Distribution" and"Americana Restaurants" To enhance the on-road food and retail experience

Abu Dhabi, May 19 / WAM / ADNOC Distribution announced a strategic partnership with Americana International Restaurants PLC, with the aim of enhancing customers’ daily comfort and providing integrated dining experiences within the network of ADNOC Distribution service stations in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Egypt.

As part of the partnership, up to 200 quick-service restaurants from 12 prominent international brands managed by Americana Restaurants will open across ADNOC Distribution’s network of service stations, expanding food options and enhancing customers in the region’s access to trusted brands during their daily trips.

The partnership enables the provision of high-quality, accessible dining experiences within an integrated system of daily transportation and retail destinations, by combining ADNOC Distribution’s existing network of stations with the operational expertise of Americana Restaurants and its portfolio of leading brands.

This partnership enhances the implementation of ADNOC Distribution’s strategic plans, which aim to accelerate the growth of its business in the non-fuel retail sector, while improving its integrated system of transportation and retail destinations.

In light of the continuous changes in customer expectations, the company continues to expand its offerings through its network of service stations, to include food and beverage services, electric vehicle charging, car care, and lifestyle services.

Mohamed Alabbar, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Americana Restaurants PLC, said that the cooperation with ADNOC Distribution reflects Americana Restaurants’ ambition to expand the presence of its portfolio of prominent brands, and provide its global operational expertise across high-traffic customer interaction points.

He added that as the road retail sector continues to develop, this partnership allows Americana Restaurants to transform gas stations and transportation centers into vibrant, integrated destinations, where customers can easily enjoy trusted brands, distinctive dining options, and upscale hospitality experiences while on the move.

He explained that through this partnership with ADNOC Distribution, Americana Restaurants is redefining the concept of convenience, and setting a new standard for integrated experiences that combine food and transportation throughout the region.

For his part, Engineer Badr Saeed Al Lamki, CEO of ADNOC Distribution, said that this partnership represents an additional step in ADNOC Distribution’s efforts to enhance customer convenience and accelerate the growth of the non-fuel retail sector across the region, noting that by combining the company’s existing network of stations and its customer base, and the “Americana Restaurants” portfolio of international brands and its operational expertise, we are working to provide integrated retail experiences that are easily accessible to millions of customers in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Egypt.

He added that this approach allows for increasing ADNOC Distribution’s contribution to supporting the national economy, achieving long-term value for shareholders and the communities in which it operates, and enhancing its presence in the retail sector by diversifying its business and ensuring its solidity and keeping pace with the future.

The partnership will contribute to supporting the continued expansion of “The Hub by ADNOC” network, which offers a modern, integrated, large-scale retail concept developed by ADNOC Distribution, which is scheduled to expand to include 30 locations throughout the UAE by 2030.

“The Hub by ADNOC” embodies the concept of an integrated destination by combining traditional fueling services, electric vehicle charging, car care, food, and lifestyle offerings in one location, embodying ADNOC Distribution’s commitment to enhancing customer interaction and expanding higher-margin retail services, while these destinations are expected to contribute to achieving EBITDA of up to $30 million annually by 2030.

The brands managed by Americana Restaurants will be integrated into multiple locations of The Hub by ADNOC, enhancing customer convenience by providing access to trusted restaurant brands while on the road, refueling and stopping to charge electric vehicles.

This partnership supports ADNOC Distribution’s goals to double non-fuel retail transactions by 2030, and the non-fuel retail sector continues to consolidate its position as a major driver of the company’s growth, as it recorded a growth in gross profit of more than 14% on an annual basis, and an increase in the number of transactions by more than 9% during the year 2025.

The partnership also supports the strategic expansion of Americana Restaurants through high-traffic points of presence that focus on providing more convenient and accessible experiences for customers, which enhances the presence and spread of its brands in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Egypt.

By utilizing ADNOC Distribution’s network of stations, Americana Restaurants will be able to access distinct strategic locations, including Tier 1 locations, allowing the company to expand its customer base and enhance ease of access to its brands.

Americana Restaurants currently operates 2,749 restaurants as of March 31, 2026, and recorded revenues amounting to $2.5 billion during 2025, an increase of 14.2% on an annual basis, while earnings before deducting interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization amounted to $595.6 million, which demonstrates the size of its operations, the strength of its presence in the markets, and the discipline in implementing its strategy.
