Abu Dhabi International attracts 4,000 participants " Virtual career fair"

Abu Dhabi, May 21 / WAM / Next October, Abu Dhabi Global will organize the new edition of the Virtual Employment Fair, which will be dedicated to the financial technology and digital assets sectors.
It is expected that the upcoming edition will contribute to supporting the sector’s needs for specialized competencies, by linking employment agencies with qualified candidates and enhancing channels for attracting talents for jobs that contribute to shaping the future of the financial sector in Abu Dhabi.
The virtual employment fair is part of Abu Dhabi Global’s strategy to build a sustainable financial system capable of competing globally, by facilitating access to talent, capital and innovation.
Abu Dhabi Global ADGM recently successfully concluded the third edition of the virtual recruitment fair, which it organized in partnership with the recruitment platform eFinancialCareers, as part of its firm commitment to developing talent and enhancing Abu Dhabi’s position as a leading global financial center that attracts human talent.
The event focused on the capital markets, wealth and risk management sectors, and brought together a group of professionals and specialists with a group of the most prominent employers and institutions operating in the financial services sector.
About 4,000 job seekers from more than 27 countries participated in the event, along with 33 leading employers and a group of institutions and companies operating in the growing Abu Dhabi Global ecosystem.
This year’s edition was characterized by adopting a more focused approach, by enhancing mechanisms for screening candidates and organizing specialized sessions according to sectors, which contributed to providing more effective communication between employers and talents.
As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance easy access to career opportunities and specialized competencies, Abu Dhabi Global revealed its plans to integrate its careers platform into the next editions of the series of virtual employment fairs.
This initiative aims to simplify recruitment paths and enhance connectivity between employers and professionals within the Abu Dhabi Global System.
On this occasion, Salem Al Darei, CEO of the Abu Dhabi Global Authority, said that the virtual career fair organized by Abu Dhabi Global continues its development in response to the increasing demand for specialized competencies in the growing financial system in Abu Dhabi, and the focus on specialized sectors during this year’s edition contributed to enabling more efficient communication between employers and highly qualified professionals, which strengthened the role of the event as a strategic platform for attracting talents and competencies.
He explained that the strong participation volume reflects the growing position of Abu Dhabi as a leading destination for financial services and wealth management, noting that with the continued growth of Abu Dhabi Global as an international financial center that supports the economic aspirations and goals of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, human competencies remain a fundamental focus of this progress. He said: “Therefore, we affirm our firm commitment to supporting the long-term development of talent in the emirate.”
The virtual employment fair continued to attract wide global participation, confirming the growing position of Abu Dhabi Global as a preferred destination for talent and competencies in the financial sector.
The event witnessed strong participation from Emirati talent seeking to develop their careers within the capital markets, wealth management and risk sectors.
A number of the most prominent international institutions and companies participated in the exhibition, including Citibank UAE, HSBC Bank, Grant Thornton, Finstreet, Tradition, Al Mariah Local Bank, Black Swan Group, Zanara, Waystone, Lunaro, Amina Bank, Marex Capital, BDO, Crowe, Michael Page, Robert Walters, and others. Which led professional discussions and direct interactions with candidates.
The pavilions of companies and employers witnessed more than 14,000 visits, as professionals interacted with institutions and companies including Abu Dhabi Global, HSBC, Black Swan Group, Al Mariah Local Bank, Robert Walters, and Citibank.
1,303 of these visits resulted in live career conversations and career networking opportunities.
The largest proportion of registered candidates came from the United Kingdom, United States, India, France, Singapore, Denmark, Hong Kong, China, South Africa, and the Philippines, among other global markets.
Participants represented more than 31 sub-sectors within the capital markets, wealth management and risk sectors, including banking, advisory, wealth management, digital banking and fintech, real estate, private equity, venture capital, family offices, and others.
