It indicated that the lighting network in the Holy Mights includes more than 20,000 lighting units of different capacities, which were installed on about 5,000 towers and columns of long lengths. And various shapes, and were distributed to cover all streets and roads in the Holy Sites, constituting an integrated model of modern lighting.
Implementation of preventive maintenance
The Ministry confirmed the continuation of the work of developing the lighting networks in Mecca and the Holy Sites and updating them on an annual basis, noting that preventive maintenance work has been carried out this year for more than 200 thousand lighting units in Mecca and the Holy Sites.

She added that the preventive maintenance work focused on a number of sites in Mash’ar Arafat, the new pedestrian roads, and the roads leading between Mash’ar Arafat and Muzdalifah, and included lighting towers 50 meters high and others 30 meters high, in addition to floodlights with capacities of 1000 and 400 watts.
