Al Jazeera offered $5 million to sign Cosmin

Romanian media highlighted Al-Jazira Club’s negotiations with coach Olario Cosmin to take over as coach of the team starting next season.

Emirates Today had quoted a source close to the Romanian coach that he might return to training in the professional league if he left his current position as coach of the national team.

“Sport” newspaper reported that attention is once again turning to Romanian coach Cosmin Olario, who is close to returning to the world of club coaching in the UAE League, pointing out that he has received a tempting offer from Al Jazira Club for a contract during the coming period, after he was close to leaving the UAE national team.

The newspaper pointed out that the Al Jazira management placed “Caesar” at the top of its list of technical options, in light of the club’s desire to sign a name with long experience in the UAE league, especially since the Romanian coach had previously led major clubs in the country and achieved remarkable successes with them.

She added: “The negotiations between the two parties have reached advanced stages, as it is expected that the financial offer proposed will be among the highest in the region, as he may receive an annual salary of about 5 million dollars, which makes him one of the highest paid coaches in the league.”
