A sending off and 17 yellow cards in Al Bataeh’s victory over Khor Fakkan in the Futsal League

The Al-Bataeh team imposed a final decisive match to determine the champion of the Futsal League, after its exciting victory over Khor Fakkan, 5-4, in the second leg in the final round of the “playoff”, which was held, the day before yesterday, in the Al-Bataeh club hall, in a match that witnessed the expulsion of a player from the Al-Bataeh side and 17 yellow cards for the players of both teams.

The two teams tied in the number of victories, after Khor Fakkan had decided the first match on penalties.

The decisive match to determine the league champion is scheduled to be held next Saturday at Al-Bataeh Club, as either team only needs to win to claim the title.

The return match witnessed a large crowd of supporters of both teams, with a numerical advantage for Khorfakkan fans. The match was also characterized by excitement and excitement until the final seconds.

The goals of Al-Bataeh were scored by Brazilian Hajo Santos, a “hat-trick” in the 28th, 33rd and 38th minutes, along with his compatriot Gustavo Martinez (15) and Abdullah Al-Falasi (7).

On the other hand, the goals of Khorfakkan were scored by Khalid Al Shouka (21 and 22), Brazilian Lucas Gustavo (16), and his compatriot Mark Comillas (39).

The match witnessed the expulsion of Al-Bataeh player Abdullah Shahdadi with a red card in the 38th minute, in addition to 17 yellow cards being shown to both teams, a high number that reflects the strength and sensitivity of the confrontation.

Al-Bataeh coach, Adnan Al-Houli, confirmed that the match was strong and technically enjoyable for both sides, and in a manner befitting the final of the UAE Futsal League, pointing out that the distinguished performance presented by the two teams reflects the great development witnessed by UAE futsal.

He told «Emirates Today»: “Our team showed a good level and achieved an important victory that gave us the qualification card for the playoff match, and certainly our ambition is to achieve victory and retain the title, but the next match requires great effort and high focus, and we will be ready for it.”
