“Sharjah Hand” raises the slogan “The Never Ending Hero’s Story” to defend the Asian title

The Sharjah Club revealed, during a press conference held yesterday, at its headquarters in Sharjah, the readiness of the handball team to participate in the 28th Asian Club Handball Championship, scheduled in Kuwait, from the sixth to the 15th of next June, noting that “The King” is competing in the tournament as the title holder of the last edition in 2024.

The club launched a campaign under the slogan “The Never Ending Hero’s Story” to support the team during its upcoming participation, in order to win the Asian title for the second time in a row. It also announced during the conference the contracting of Egyptian Zamalek players, Gamal Salah and Hisham Salah, to support the team’s ranks in the tournament.

During the conference, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sharjah Sports Club, Mohammed Juma bin Hindi, confirmed the club’s management’s keenness to support the team and provide all its requirements during its Asian journey, in order to achieve the title for the second time in a row, pointing out that handball in Sharjah Club has been associated with distinguished results over a long history, and enjoys great support within the club.

Bin Hindi expressed his great confidence in the ability of the team sports system and the technical and administrative staff to equip the team with an image that keeps pace with the ambitions of Sharqa handball, which has recorded a global presence, through participation in the Super Globe 2025 Club World Cup in Egypt, where the team finished sixth in the world.

During the conference, the full program for preparing the team was revealed, in addition to announcing that Sharjah International Airport would sponsor the team.

For his part, member of the club’s group sports department and supervisor of the handball team, Jassim Mohammed, confirmed that the team is fully prepared for this event, noting that preparations began about two weeks ago and continue on a daily basis, with the team leaving for Kuwait, on the 31st of this month, to begin a preparation camp there before the start of the tournament.

For his part, the Brazilian team’s coach, Marcos Tata, said: “The team is fully prepared for the tournament, and the preparation program is going well,” noting that “the competition in the next edition will be very strong.”
