One million dirhams from Burjeel Holding to the families of the victims and injured of a tragic traffic accident in Dubai

Chairman and CEO of Burjeel Holding Company, Dr. Shamsher Vayalil, announced the allocation of a humanitarian support program worth one million UAE dirhams to support the families of the victims of the tragic traffic accident that occurred on Emirates Road in Dubai.
The program includes all families affected by the accident, as 100,000 UAE dirhams will be provided to each of the families of the seven victims who lost their lives, while an amount of 180,000 dirhams has been allocated to support the nine injured survivors according to their treatment and rehabilitation needs. The support also included 70,000 dirhams to cover emergency travel and accommodation expenses for family members, in addition to 50,000 dirhams to support the education of children of affected families.
This support comes after the accident involving a minibus carrying employees in Dubai, after it collided with a truck parked on the side of the road due to a technical malfunction, according to initial reports.
The victims and injured included workers from India, Sri Lanka and Nepal. The accident resulted in the death of seven people, including six of Indian nationality and one of Sri Lankan nationality, while nine others were injured, a number of whom left the hospital after receiving treatment, while others continue to receive medical care.
The Indian Consulate in Dubai was informed of the initiative to help coordinate with the affected Indian families and ensure that support reaches those who deserve it, while Dr. Shamsher confirmed that the assistance will include all those affected by the accident, regardless of their nationalities.
