Trump said that the peace agreement with Iran is still on track and will be signed within hours, despite the Israeli strike on the southern suburb of Beirut, which he said delayed it.
Trump stated in a phone call with the Axios news website that the Israeli strike "I confused it. I delayed the signing for a few hours. It was supposed to be done by now. It (signing) is currently scheduled for a few hours from now"
Dissatisfaction with the Israeli strikes on Lebanon
Trump expressed his dissatisfaction with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu because of the attack on the southern suburb of Beirut, saying "It’s so bad, I couldn’t believe it. One hour before the scheduled time of signing the agreement"
He said that he strongly attacked Netanyahu after Israel bombed the southern suburb of Beirut, killing three people, accusing Hezbollah of launching projectiles into the north of the occupied territories.
