Sellal Group and Company "Delphi" The Netherlands cooperates to enhance national capabilities in the food and agriculture sector in the Emirates

Abu Dhabi, June 19 / WAM / Sellal Group, the leader in the agricultural and food technology sector in the UAE, announced the conclusion of a strategic partnership with the Dutch company Delphi, which specializes in agricultural consulting, with the aim of contributing to the development of the agricultural sector locally through designing, developing and implementing advanced training and capacity building programs over the next five years.
The partnership was announced during a reception ceremony held to receive the representative delegation of the Sellal Group in the presence of Her Excellency Dr. Amna bint Abdullah Al-Dahhak, Minister of Climate Change and Environment at Delphi’s headquarters in the Netherlands, in a step that reflects the commitment of both parties to supporting the development of national competencies and promoting innovation and sustainability in the agricultural sector.
The partnership aims to enhance the adoption of agricultural technology solutions and the latest practical applications and global practices, by providing specialized training programs covering the fields of open-air agriculture, protected agriculture and hydroponics, in addition to advanced technical systems for greenhouses, which contributes to raising the efficiency of workers in the sector and enhancing its productivity and sustainability.
Dr. Shamal Mohammed, CEO of the Innovation Oasis of the Sellal Group, said: “Investing in developing national competencies represents one of the basic pillars to ensure the sustainability and growth of the food and agriculture sector in the UAE. Under the agreement, training programs are not limited to technical and agricultural aspects only, but also include basic business pillars, such as preparing feasibility studies, developing sustainable business models, and commercial marketing strategies, ensuring the enhancement of the economic feasibility of local agricultural projects and their long-term sustainability.
