Dubai, June 22 / WAM / The Dubai Press Club, the organizing body of the “Emirates Media Forum Forum”, whose eleventh session was held today (Monday) under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, and carried the slogan “The UAE is a red line”, hosted His Excellency Mohammed Al Abbar, founder of “Emaar” and “Noon” and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Eagle Hills, in a session within the forum’s activities under Title: “The UAE is a safe haven and an investment that does not lose,” during which he was interviewed by journalist Hamid Bin Karam, editor-in-chief of Al Bayan newspaper, at the Mandarin Oriental Downtown Hotel, Dubai.
Al Abbar stressed during the session attended by His Excellency Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the National Media Authority, and His Excellency Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Vice President and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council and President of the Dubai Press Club, that what the UAE has achieved with the vision of the wise leadership in terms of global economic and investment status did not come as a result of slogans or speeches, but rather the result of a well-established approach based on proactive planning, foresight and continuous institutional work, indicating that the UAE has proven its ability to deal with With various variables and challenges and turning them into opportunities for growth and development.
He explained that describing the UAE as a safe haven is no longer just an impression, but rather a fact established by practical experience and the results achieved by the country over more than half a century, stressing that the UAE’s success is based on an integrated system of planning, foresight and effective management that has strengthened its economic, commercial and investment position at the global level.
His Excellency pointed out that crises and challenges are not an exception in the path of countries and societies, but rather part of the nature of economic and human development, pointing out that the real difference lies in the extent of readiness and preparedness to deal with these changes, which is the approach that the UAE adopted many years ago by investing in planning for the future.
His Excellency Mohammed Al Abbar stressed that the various vital sectors in the country showed the highest levels of cohesion during the recent period, noting that the economic, real estate and financial sectors continued their positive performance, while the travel and business movement maintained its activity, despite the repercussions of recent regional developments.
His Excellency said that what the country witnessed during the last period reflects the strength of its institutional structure and the confidence of society and investors in its ability to deal with challenges, stressing that the Emirati experience has proven that early preparation for the future and creating proactive solutions before crises occur represent one of the most important factors for success and stability of the unique development experience of the UAE.
He pointed out that the wise leadership of the UAE has established a culture of future thinking and long-term planning, which has been reflected in the performance of various national institutions, which continue to work to anticipate challenges and opportunities and prepare for them by developing appropriate solutions in a proactive manner.
He added that the UAE is accustomed to making major decisions and implementing quality projects, even in the most difficult circumstances, based on firm confidence in the future and in the country’s ability to continue the process of growth and achieve achievements.
His Excellency Mohammed Al Abbar touched on the international media coverage that accompanied the recent developments in the region, stressing that some of the stories that were circulated did not reflect the actual reality witnessed by Dubai and the UAE, and pointed out that the facts on the ground were clear through the continuation of economic and commercial activity and business normally.
