Oman and Iran are studying "Costs" Services related to the management of the Strait of Hormuz
The Sultanate of Oman and Iran announced on Tuesday that they will work on an agreement on the future management of navigation in and the services and costs associated therewith, according to a joint statement published by the Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The statement was issued after Sultan Haitham bin Tariq and Omani Foreign Minister Badr al-Busaidi received the chief Iranian negotiator, Muhammad Baqir Qalibaf, and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi.

Traffic fees
As part of its repeated threats, Iran said last week that it will impose fees on ships crossing the Strait of Hormuz, after a 60-day period exempt from any fees stipulated in the memorandum of understanding with the United States, pending negotiation of a final text.
