America reaffirms: We will not accept the imposition of fees or transit fees in the Strait of Hormuz

Renew US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Tuesday, his country’s position rejecting the imposition of any fees or transit fees in Strait of Hormuz, after the Iranand the Sultanate of Oman have addressed this issue within the post-war arrangements in the Middle East.
Rubio told reporters shortly after his arrival in Abu Dhabi at the start of a Gulf tour, that Hormuz "International waterway. No country is permitted to impose tolls or transit fees on an international waterway. This is the existing international law… This is what applies to all sea lanes in the world, and this is what we expect things to be like here".
He added "So, I don’t think we have to convince anyone about this here. I think all countries in the region will agree with us on that".
