Abu Dhabi, June 25 / WAM / Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Office for Development Affairs and Families of Martyrs, the Office of Development Affairs and Families of Martyrs in the Presidential Office launched the new version of the “Emirates Youth Ambassadors” program, in a step that strengthens the country’s commitment to preparing young national competencies with a global vision through in-depth educational and development programs.

His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed the importance of the program in preparing Emirati youth, building their capabilities, refining their skills, and enhancing their expertise to serve the nation in various vital fields and sectors of national priority, praising the vital role of the program over its previous editions in enhancing the UAE’s presence in strategic markets, and empowering Emirati youth to be a global link with the international community.

His Highness said that the “Emirates Youth Ambassadors” program reflects the vision of our wise leadership in building a generation that adheres to national values, and is equipped with the skills, knowledge and cultural awareness necessary to enhance mutual respect and cooperation and build long-term strategic partnerships with countries around the world.

The UAE Youth Ambassadors Program is designed to be an integrated development experience that enriches the careers of Emirati students studying abroad, as it works to expand awareness, enrich their experiences, and provide participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to contribute to formulating future partnerships.

In its new version, the program extends over a period of 10 months and is presented through 5 units, targeting a number of students on scholarship in China and Japan.

The program was developed based on four basic pillars: “culture and diplomacy, knowledge, experiential learning, and media representation.” The program goes beyond academic achievement by preparing a generation that adheres to its national identity and values, and is at the same time open to learning, cultural exchange, and international cooperation.

Through systematic learning, cultural interaction and professional communication; The program prepares national cadres capable of representing the UAE with diplomacy, confidence and excellence on the international stage, under the supervision of the Office of Development Affairs and Families of Martyrs in the Presidential Office, and in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Office of Scholarships in the Presidential Office, other scholarship agencies in the country, and the embassies of the United Arab Emirates to the People’s Republic of China and Japan, in addition to local and international strategic partners, and based on established relationships that support youth empowerment, activating international participation and cultural exchange. The program, in line with the Emirati National Identity Strategy, establishes core values ​​that embody the features of the authentic Emirati character, namely “respect and humility, ambition and perseverance, belonging and responsibility, cohesion and coexistence, generosity and humanity.” These values ​​form basic pillars of the learning journey in the program, ensuring that participants adhere to their authentic national identity at all stages and build bridges of communication with the world.

On this basis, the program expands to include international tracks that allow participants to delve deeper into various aspects of China and Japan, through advanced courses, practical experiences, field visits to understand different sectors and systems, and professional workshops aimed at developing leadership skills, cultural and diplomatic sense, and enhancing honorable representation.

These experiences work to link educational aspects with practical reality, thus strengthening the basic pillars of the program in consolidating identity, openness, and constructive international communication.

For her part, Najla Al Zarouni, one of the graduates of the Emirates Youth Ambassadors Program – China, said that her experience with the Emirates Youth Ambassadors Program is exceptional by all standards, as living and working in China gave her the opportunity to get to know Chinese culture, Chinese society and their way of thinking closely, which contributed to refining her personality on several levels.

She added that on a personal level, this generated in her a deep appreciation for this ancient culture, and while traveling to such a distant destination was an unattainable dream, the program represented a gateway that enabled her to undergo an exceptional experience that expanded her intellectual horizons and left an indelible impression on her.
