"Emirates researchers" It announces the outcomes of the 2026 Conference on Dialogue of Civilizations and Tolerance and launches digital knowledge initiatives

Abu Dhabi, June 25 / WAM / The Emirates Researchers Center for Research and Studies announced the outcomes of the Third International Conference on Dialogue of Civilizations and Tolerance 2026, and launched a number of cognitive and societal initiatives supported by artificial intelligence technologies.

This came during a ceremony held in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Belhaif Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Center’s Board of Trustees, Sheikh Dr. Ammar bin Nasser Al Mualla, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and an elite group of officials, academics, strategic and media partners.

The ceremony was the culmination of the success achieved by the conference, which was held from June 3 to 5 in Abu Dhabi under the slogan “The Impact of New Media and Artificial Intelligence on the Family and Society,” in partnership with the Abrahamic Family House, Mohammed bin Zayed University for the Humanities, and the Abu Dhabi Convention and Exhibition Bureau.

The conference witnessed the participation of more than 206 speakers and experts from 120 countries through 27 dialogue and scientific sessions distributed on three specialized platforms, and resulted in 127 scientific contributions and 80 peer-reviewed research papers, in addition to the signing of five memorandums of understanding.

The conference achieved wide attendance and impact, as the number of participants exceeded 3,165 participants, while the coverage and media materials associated with it amounted to about 760 media materials across national and international platforms, in addition to more than 88 million views.

His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Belhaif Al Nuaimi stressed that the conference was not only a scientific event, but rather a clear Emirati message confirming that dialogue and technology are partners in building a more tolerant and understanding human future, indicating that dialogue remains the language capable of bringing peoples and cultures closer together and serving humanity.

His Excellency said in a statement to the Emirates News Agency, WAM, that the successes achieved by the Center over the past years constituted an impetus for the continued development and expansion of the service of scientific research and knowledge, pointing out that the achievements achieved contributed to enhancing the Center’s presence locally and internationally.

He added that the broad international participation and qualitative scientific outcomes of the conference reflect the advanced position of the UAE as a global platform for civilizational dialogue and tolerance, stressing that the next stage will witness the launch of more knowledge initiatives and projects supported by artificial intelligence technologies to support scientific research and enhance the culture of dialogue and coexistence.

The conference came out with a set of recommendations and outputs that focused on enhancing digital education within educational institutions, consolidating the responsible use of new media and artificial intelligence, and supporting youth initiatives aimed at promoting civilizational dialogue and intercultural communication via digital platforms.

The outputs also included developing media and ethical policies to reduce hate speech and misinformation, enhancing the role of the family in building digital awareness and consolidating human values ​​in new generations, in addition to expanding academic and research cooperation to study the effects of artificial intelligence and new media on societies.

The recommendations included supporting the use of technology and artificial intelligence in the service of community development and human understanding, launching specialized training programs to qualify young people in the fields of digital leadership and cultural dialogue, strengthening cultural and media diplomacy, and establishing international networks for cooperation between intellectual, academic and media institutions to promote a culture of dialogue and tolerance globally.

The ceremony witnessed the launch of the “Scientific Assistant for the Emirates Research Center”, which the Center described as the first scientific artificial intelligence employee in the world with the aim of supporting researchers, students and academics in preparing and formulating scientific research, accessing reliable scientific sources, linking scientific studies and citations and analyzing them in a way that contributes to the development of knowledge production.

Dr. Fawaz Habbal, Secretary-General of the Center, said that the launch of the Scientific Assistant represents a strategic step towards employing artificial intelligence techniques in the service of scientific research and enabling researchers to access reliable sources through various scientific platforms, thus enhancing the efficiency of knowledge production and accelerating the pace of research development.

For his part, Dr. Firas Habbal, head of the center, stressed that the recommendations that came out of the conference represent a road map for enhancing digital education, supporting youth initiatives and developing ethical media policies, which contribute to building more aware and tolerant societies and the ability to employ technology to serve human development.

The ceremony also witnessed the launch of the “Diwan Belhaif” digital platform, the official website of His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Belhaif Al Nuaimi, which documents his national, professional and intellectual career spanning more than four decades and includes his scientific articles, writings, intellectual and literary publications, and poetry collections, in addition to documenting his most prominent achievements and national initiatives.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Emirates Researchers Center honored the institutions, media entities and committees that contributed to the success of the conference and conveying its message to various countries of the world, in appreciation of their role in highlighting its goals and outcomes and enhancing its presence locally and internationally, stressing its keenness to continue building effective partnerships with media institutions to support the dissemination of knowledge and enhance the culture of human dialogue and scientific research.
