المملكة: Launching the activities of the Gulf Week and World Anti-Drug Day in Najran
The DEA launched the Najran region today, Gulf Week events and programs and World Anti-Drug Day 2026, with the participation of a number of governmental and private agencies, in the presence of the Director of the Combat Drugsin the region, Brigadier General Yahya bin Abdullah Al Mohsen, at the headquarters of the House of Culture in the city of Najran.
The awareness exhibition, which lasts for two days, includes a group of educational corners that provide diverse awareness content about the dangers of drugs and psychotropic substances and their effects on the individual, family and society, and the health, psychological, social and security effects resulting from abuse and addiction.
Prevention Early
The exhibition also reviews early prevention indicators and factors that contribute to protecting young people from falling into this scourge, and allows visitors to view awareness and guidance materials that enhance community awareness and consolidate positive behaviors that support a safe and healthy life.
In addition, a series of specialized educational seminars and lectures in the fields of drug control, health, and community awareness are being carried out; With the aim of shedding light on the reality of drugs and their multiple effects on individuals and societies, and discussing the role of the family in enhancing the intellectual and behavioral immunity of children, and the role of educational institutions in spreading preventive awareness and discovering early indicators of behavioral problems.
