The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs receives a copy of the credentials of the Ambassador of the Republic of Maldives
ABU DHABI, 29 JUNE / WAM / His Excellency Omar Obaid Al-Hussan Al Shamsi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, received a copy of the credentials of His Excellency Thoriq Ibrahim, Ambassador of the Republic of Maldives to the United Arab Emirates.
His Excellency wished the ambassador success in performing his duties, stressing the UAE’s keenness to expand the horizons of cooperation with the Republic of Maldives, in a way that achieves the common interests of the two friendly countries and peoples.
For his part, His Excellency the Ambassador praised the regional and international standing enjoyed by the UAE, in light of the wise vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him,” expressing his aspiration to work to strengthen relations between the two countries and develop them in various fields.
The UAE and the Maldives share a partnership and bilateral relations that are witnessing continuous growth in many sectors, including multilateral climate action, environmental sustainability, tourism, and renewable energy.
