المملكة: 13 specialized sites and 50% growth in clinical trials in the Kingdom

Over the past year, the health system in the Kingdom recorded a remarkable development in the Clinical trials, after launching a group of initiatives aimed at enhancing medical research and accelerating the development of treatments and health innovations, thus enhancing the Kingdom’s position as a promising regional center for medical and biotechnology research.

Indicators showed a 50% growth in the number of clinical trials compared to previous years, in direct reflection of the development of the regulatory and research environment and the facilitation of procedures associated with conducting advanced medical studies.

The new initiatives succeeded in reducing the average duration of starting clinical trials by 48%, which contributes to accelerating the launch of medical studies and enabling Researchersand companies are able to test new health treatments and technologies at a faster and more efficient pace.

In the same context, the number of companies sponsoring clinical trials increased by 36% compared to 2023, which reflects growing international confidence in the research and regulatory environment within the Kingdom.

13 specialized sites were also qualified to conduct Clinical trialswithin health and research facilities equipped in accordance with international standards, allowing the implementation of medical studies with high efficiency and enhancing the quality of research data.
