The National Program for Combating Commercial Concealment carried out 4,501 inspection tours in various regions of the Kingdom during the month of June 2026, based on indications and indicators of suspicion of concealment, as part of its efforts to enhance compliance and control violations.
Provisions of the Anti-Concealment System
The tours aimed to verify commercial establishments’ compliance with the provisions of the Anti-Concealment System, monitor crimes and violations, and included a number of activities, most notably: land transportation of goods, And public construction of non-residential buildings such as schools, hospitals, and hotels, and the retail sale of household electronic and electrical appliances, and the retail sale of precious metals and gemstones, in addition to public stores that include a variety of goods.
104 suspected cases were seized
The tours resulted in the arrest of 104 preliminary cases of suspicion of commercial concealment, which were referred to the competent authorities to complete verification procedures and apply statutory penalties against violators.
The program explained that the penalties for the anti-cover-up system include imprisonment for a period of up to five years, and a fine of up to five million riyals, in addition to the seizure and confiscation of illicit funds after the issuance of final judicial rulings.
Accessory penalties also include closing the facility, liquidating the activity, writing off the commercial register, preventing the practice of commercial activity, collecting zakat, fees and taxes, defaming violators, deporting those who concealed themselves from the Kingdom and preventing them from returning to it. For work.
These tours come within the efforts of the National Program to Combat Commercial Concealment to enhance integrity in the business environment, reduce violating practices, and raise the level of compliance in various commercial sectors in the Kingdom.
