Tariq Al-Taieb predicts the result of the match between Morocco and France…and demands this “Assad” mainly

Retired Libyan star Tariq Al-Tayeb expected the Moroccan national team to win over its French counterpart in the match scheduled for Thursday evening (12:00 UAE time) in the quarter-finals of the World Cup, stressing that the “Atlas Lions” possess all the elements that qualify them to continue their journey in the tournament.

Al-Tayeb said, in television statements, that the Moroccan team proved during the tournament that it possesses a strong personality and a great ability to deal with various matches, and that reaching the semi-finals in the last edition was not a coincidence, but rather the result of continuous technical and tactical work.

He added: “I am optimistic that Morocco will win, because of the quality and capabilities of its players that will allow them to surpass France, even though the French team remains one of the most prominent candidates to compete for the title, but I believe that Morocco is capable of resolving the confrontation.”

Al-Taib stressed the need to include Sofiane Rahimi in the starting lineup, after the distinguished performance he showed against Canada, especially in light of the confirmed absence of Ismail Sibari due to injury, considering that the Emirati Al Ain striker is the most technically prepared option at this stage.

He explained: “If Saibari’s absence is confirmed, I believe that Rahimi deserves to start. What he presented against Canada confirms that he is at his best, and I believe that he is the most technically prepared at the present time compared to Ayoub El Kaabi.”

He pointed out, saying: “Rahimi has speed and the ability to exploit space, which are elements that may be decisive against the French team, especially since his playing style is compatible with Morocco’s strategy based on quick transitions and counterattacks.”

Taieb stressed that the Moroccan national team is characterized by great tactical flexibility, as it can play in possession when the match requires it, and it is also good at moving quickly from defense to attack with the fewest number of touches.

He said: “What I like about the Moroccan team is that it does not rush, and plays calmly and confidently even under pressure. The team knows when to gain possession, and when to attack quickly, and most importantly, it plays very effectively, and not just for the sake of possession.”
