3 medals for the UAE national team in the International Modern Sailing Championship in Morocco

Tangier, 6 July / WAM / The UAE Modern Sailing Team won 3 medals (gold, silver and bronze) in the International Sailing Championship, hosted by the Moroccan city of M’diq, from June 29 to July 5 of this year.
The team’s medals came in the Olympic categories, where Doha Al-Bishr won the gold medal in the Elka 6 competitions, while Sultan Al Owais won the silver medal, and Mohammed Al Owais won the bronze medal, both in the Elka 7 competitions.
Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, President of the Emirates Modern Sailing and Rowing Federation, congratulated the national team players on this achievement, praising the technical levels and competitive spirit that they demonstrated and contributed to raising the country’s flag on the podiums.
He stressed that the results reflect the efforts made by the administrative and technical staff and the players during the period of preparation and participation, indicating that the Federation will continue to support the national teams and enhance their presence in foreign participations.
