FIFA rejects the Belgian appeal regarding Balogun and considers it “unacceptable”

The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) Appeals Committee rejected on Monday evening the Belgian appeal against the rehabilitation of American striker Folarin Balogun, who was expelled in the round of 32 of the North American World Cup but was allowed to face the “Red Devils” in the last 16, considering it “unacceptable.”

The International Federation said in a statement that the Belgian Football Association “does not have the standing to file an appeal against this decision, as it is not a party to the proceedings.”
