Good news for the American team in the 2026 World Cup… and Trump thanks FIFA

The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) canceled the red card for American striker Folarin Balogun and gave him the green light to play against Belgium on Monday in the 2026 World Cup final.

Balogun had scored a goal in the first half against Bosnia and Herzegovina in a 2-0 win in the round of 32, before he was later sent off for an interference deemed dangerous.
US President Donald Trump commented on the decision, thanking FIFA “for correcting a grave injustice,” through his “Truth Social” platform.
