The Authority adopts an integrated cooling system with an operational capacity of about (155) thousand refrigeration tons, ensuring that temperatures are maintained between (22 – 24) degrees Celsius inside the Grand Mosque, in order to achieve the highest levels of comfort for worshipers and Umrah pilgrims, especially during peak times and high temperatures.
Advanced systems
And they operate. The system purifies the air with a high efficiency of up to (95%), through advanced air treatment and filtration systems, which contributes to providing a healthy and pure environment inside the Grand Mosque, and enhances the quality of the atmosphere in which worshipers perform their worship with ease and reassurance.
The cooling system’s coverage extends to an area of approximately (1.5) million square meters, to include various prayer halls, facilities, and courtyards, ensuring a balanced distribution of cooled air in all locations. Which is frequented by the guests of God.
The latest technologies
These efforts come as an extension of the keenness of the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque to harness the latest technologies and engineering systems, and to improve the operation and maintenance system, in order to keep pace with the increasing numbers of worshipers and Umrah performers, and achieve the highest standards of quality and efficiency in providing services, in implementation of the directives of the wise leadership – may God support it – to provide everything that would enable The guests of the Most Gracious God are able to perform their worship in an atmosphere of security, comfort and tranquility.
