Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development announces the award winners "Khalifa Entrepreneurship Fund Competition"

ABU DHABI, 7 JULY / WAM / The Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development announced the list of winners of the “Khalifa Fund for Entrepreneurship Competition” awards in its second edition, which aims to honor the most promising emerging companies in Abu Dhabi, in recognition of their excellence in providing practical solutions to real challenges in various economic sectors.

The competition witnessed a large turnout with the participation of 509 entrepreneurs, startups and young talents.

During the evaluation stage, 57 startup companies, distributed among 28 in Abu Dhabi, 21 in the Al Ain region, and 8 in the Al Dhafra region, qualified to join an intensive training camp, where they underwent guidance and guidance programs, which enabled them to refine their ideas and prepare for the final stages.

The final results in the Entrepreneurship Awards category resulted in “Hadif Al Hameli” winning the agriculture sector award for innovating an artificial intelligence application that evaluates the quality of dates with a capacity of up to 80 dates per second. In the financial technology sector, the award went to “Mohammed Al Nasiri” by innovating a virtual platform to teach investment mechanisms and enhance financial awareness, and “Dr. Omar Najm” won the healthcare sector award in recognition of his achievements and contributions to strengthening the genetic medicine and biosciences system in the country.

Ali Al Hashemi and Abdul Rahman Al Hashemi won the energy sector award for inventing an electric charger that can charge several vehicles at the same time, and Mohammed Al Muhairbi won the tourism sector award for designing an integrated platform for managing events, registration procedures, issuing tickets, and facilitating the evaluation process and selecting winners.

In the Innovation Awards category, the Artificial Intelligence Innovation Award went to Afraa Al-Ahbabi for inventing a smart assistant in the Arabic language that relies on artificial intelligence to automate the documentation of medical records and administrative tasks for doctors, and Hind Al-Junaibi for inventing a smart assistant that relies on artificial intelligence solutions to automatically correct students’ paper and digital work. Muhammad Al-Mahrazi won the innovation award in the field of sustainability by developing smart solutions based on solar-powered sensors and controls and a platform supported by artificial intelligence to rationalize water consumption in irrigation by a percentage ranging from 20% to 50%, and “Fahd Al-Aleeli” and “Mohammed Shajo” won the Innovation Award in the robotics sector through the idea of ​​using autonomous drones supported by artificial intelligence to clean solar panels without any human intervention.

In the game development program, Hoda Hilal Al Hinai and Al Rayyan Hilal Al Hinai won for the game “Legends of Al Ain,” which is a cultural adventure game inspired by Emirati heritage. The game provides an interactive experience that combines entertainment and introduction to national identity through a virtual trip in the Al Ain region that includes palm oases, the historic Al Muwaiji Palace, the central fountains and stone walls.

This coronation came after participating in the summer camp organized by the Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain Region and Al Dhafra Region over a period of five days, with the participation of more than 90 male and female students between the ages of 13 and 18 years, where they succeeded in designing and launching 40 games that combined digital skills and artificial intelligence techniques and shed light on the nobility and authenticity of the Emirati heritage.

In the Future Entrepreneur Program, student Abdullah Abdul Karim Al Balushi won for his project “Eco-Drive,” a solar-powered car designed to be a sustainable solution in the field of transportation, through an integrated system that includes solar panels to generate energy, a control unit to regulate charging flow, batteries to store energy, an electric motor, and a lightweight structure that ensures high efficiency in performance and contributes to reducing emissions and fuel costs.

The project is distinguished by its ability to develop into a commercial project in the clean technology sector, and the ability to find solutions to environmental and economic challenges.

The Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development continues to support and encourage entrepreneurs, startups, and small and medium economic enterprises to innovate, by launching several programs that contribute to enhancing the competitiveness of the business environment in the emirate. Among the most prominent of these programs are: the “Abu Dhabi Champions Program for Small and Medium Enterprises,” which aims to support the growth and development of small and medium enterprises in Abu Dhabi, the “Export Empowerment Program for Small and Medium Enterprises,” which contributes to enhancing the global competitiveness of companies and supporting them to enter international markets, and the “Light Industries Acceleration Program,” which provides comprehensive support through a system linking pioneers.
