Kim wins his first Tour title "DB World" in "The Race to Dubai Golf"

Dublin – Kentucky, July 13 / WAM / The “Race to Dubai” competitions on the “DB World” golf tour have entered a decisive stage, with the season finals scheduled for the UAE next November approaching, after Tom Kim from the Republic of Korea won the Genesis Scottish Open, the third elite Rolex Series tournament this season, achieving his first titles on the “DB World” tour.
The season includes five tournaments within the elite “Rolex” series, each with a prize value of no less than 9 million US dollars, while the UAE hosts three of them, which is the “Hero Dubai Desert Classic” tournament, which was held last January, in addition to the Abu Dhabi Championship and the “DB World Dubai” tour scheduled for next November, while the series also includes the British “BMW PGA” Championship during the period from 17 to 20 next September.
Kim won the title with a total of 17 strokes under par, an achievement that gave him his first title on the DB World tour. The tournament saw the third round competitions stopped due to heavy fog, before completing the third and fourth rounds on the closing day yesterday, which affected the Irishman Rory McIlroy, the holder of the “Race to Dubai” title, to fall to seventh place with a score of 12 strokes under par.
Australian Min Lee took advantage of his position as runner-up in the championship, collecting 889 points and advancing to thirteenth place in the “Race to Dubai” world rankings issued today, after raising his score this season to 1,164 points.
In the Isco Championship, which concluded at dawn today in the American state of Kentucky, American Stephen Fisk won the title after three rounds of play-offs, beating Canadian Taylor Pendrith by one stroke, after they tied with a score of 16 strokes under par at the end of the four main rounds.
The UAE will host the final qualifiers of the season, with the top 70 players in the “Race to Dubai” standings qualifying for the Abu Dhabi Championship at Yas Links Stadium from November 5 to 8, 2026, before the top 50 players qualify for the “DB World” Tour Championship at Jumeirah Estates Golf Club during the period from November 12 to 15, 2026.
