Report: 2,244 citizens benefited from Abu Dhabi Global Academy programs during 2025

ABU DHABI, 16 JULY / WAM / Abu Dhabi Global Academy “ADGMA”, the knowledge arm of Abu Dhabi Global “ADGM”, today announced the issuance of its annual report for the year 2025, which highlights its role as a strategic enabler of human capital development in Abu Dhabi, the “capital of capital,” and supporting the growth of its knowledge-based economy.

The annual report reviews the tangible progress achieved by the Academy in developing national talent and enhancing the capabilities of the financial sector, by providing experts, institutions and future leaders with the necessary skills to succeed in a dynamic and globally interconnected financial environment.

The report showed that Abu Dhabi Global Academy continued to expand its impact in the field of developing national competencies, as during the year 2025 it trained 2,244 Emirati citizens, bringing the total number of citizens who benefited from the national development programs launched by the Academy since 2019 to 10,779 citizens.

The report highlights the scientific research capabilities and specialized expertise that the Academy developed during the year, which supports market competitiveness and enhances constructive dialogue about developing the sector.

Together, these achievements confirm Abu Dhabi’s position as a global destination for capital, business and talent, and also enhance Abu Dhabi’s global role as a reliable and advanced international financial center linked to global markets.

The Academy also continued to expand its presence within the financial services system and related sectors, as it organized more than 250 training sessions from which more than 5,000 participants benefited, in addition to hosting 120 specialized events attended by more than 3,000 experts and specialists.

These programs and events brought together regulators, financial institutions, government agencies, academics, and financial sector leaders, with the aim of promoting knowledge exchange, professional development, and cooperation in various market areas.

As part of its continued commitment to quality and international excellence, during the year the academy recorded a satisfaction rate of 94% on the part of students and 86% on the part of clients. It also obtained 9 international accreditations, and launched new programs focusing on advanced and emerging fields, including artificial intelligence, digital finance, wealth management, governance, and future skills.

Intellectual leadership maintained its position as a fundamental focus of the Academy’s mission throughout the year. In 2025, the Academy issued 11 research papers covering topics including artificial intelligence, digital assets, “Web3” technologies, cybersecurity, and payments, in addition to anti-financial crime compliance and financial regulation, which contributes to enriching the dialogue about the financial services sector.

The report also highlights the Academy’s continued investment in 12 new strategic partnerships with leading global institutions, regulators, and specialized organizations in the sector, allowing the provision of internationally recognized educational programs, research partnerships, and educational paths that respond to market needs.

The launch of the RealAssetX Abu Dhabi Innovation Center constituted one of the most important partnerships and pivotal achievements during the year 2025, as it is an important step in strengthening the academy’s innovation system. The same year also witnessed the establishment of the Technology Center of the Abu Dhabi Global Academy, which provides new platforms for applied research, technology development, and capacity building in emerging technology fields.

His Excellency Hamad Sayyah Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Abu Dhabi Global Academy, said on this occasion that, based on the vision of the UAE’s wise leadership to establish a competitive knowledge-based economy, the foundations of which are based on national competencies and global capabilities, the Academy continues to play its role in supporting Abu Dhabi’s goals for human capital development.

He added that the year 2025 witnessed the strengthening of the Academy’s contribution to the process of Emiratization and competency development, by providing Emirati citizens and professionals with the skills and knowledge that enable them to keep pace with rapid transformations, contribute to consolidating innovation, enhancing flexibility, and supporting sustainable economic growth in the long term.

As the demand for specialized skills in financial services, digital technologies, and emerging industries continues to grow, Abu Dhabi Global Academy continues to focus on expanding access to world-class educational programs, accelerating the pace of research and development, and enhancing cooperation between academia, the private sector, and government agencies, with the aim of building specialized capabilities that support the long-term economic priorities of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
