Secretary General of the Arab Parliament for Children: "Union era day" It consolidates national identity among young people
Sharjah, 17 July, WAM / His Excellency Ayman Othman Al-Barout, Secretary-General of the Arab Parliament for Children, confirmed that “Union Era Day” is an exceptional national station from which young people draw the values of loyalty and belonging and deepen their knowledge of the historical national epic led by the founding fathers thanks to their firm belief in the bond of unity and solidarity, led by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, “may God have mercy on him.”
He said that commemorating this occasion in the collective consciousness reinforces the concepts of good citizenship among children and youth, and also contributes to introducing them to the stages of the emergence of the United Arab Emirates and the extent of the sacrifices and efforts that resulted in the construction of a state that takes care of its children and provides them with a safe environment that inspires them to creativity and leadership.
He added that “Union Day” closely integrates with the goals of the Arab Parliament for Children, which seeks to consolidate national values in the souls of Arab youth and develop their abilities to express their opinions and actively participate in building their societies, stressing that this day is an ideal opportunity to consolidate the principles of cohesion, tolerance and openness in the future generation.
He said that the Parliament, which is based in the Emirate of Sharjah, is proud to belong to this inspiring federal system that places the child at the top of its priorities and gives him a platform to express his aspirations, stressing the Parliament’s keenness to draw inspiration for all its activities and programs from the principles laid down by the first generation, in continuation of the distinguished Emirati approach to investing in people.
