Journalists Association: Union Era Day is a national occasion in which we recall the wise vision of the founding fathers
DUBAI, 18th July, 2018 (WAM) – The Emirates Journalists Association has confirmed that Union Era Day represents an immortal national occasion in which we recall the wise vision of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and his brothers, the founding fathers, may God rest their souls, who laid the foundations of the Union on solid foundations of unity and cohesion, to become a global model to be emulated in development, prosperity, and shaping the future.
The association added that this occasion also embodies the values of loyalty and belonging, and reflects the sincere will that created the union, and which the UAE continues to build upon under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him,” and his brothers, Their Highnesses Members of the Supreme Council and Rulers of the Emirates, towards a more advanced and pioneering future.
The association stressed that the national media was, and still is, a major partner in the union’s journey, by conveying the nation’s achievements, strengthening national identity, and consolidating the values of responsibility and professionalism, in keeping with the comprehensive renaissance witnessed by the UAE in various fields.
The Emirates Journalists Association affirmed its commitment to continuing its mission of supporting the national media, empowering journalistic competencies, and contributing to consolidating the values of the Union in the conscience of generations, in a way that enhances the message of the Emirati media and its role in keeping pace with the comprehensive development process.
