Saud Al-Hujailan: “Union Era Day” embodies Zayed’s legacy and confirms the UAE’s leadership in the fields of peace and humanitarian work.

ABU DHABI, July 19, 2017 (WAM) – His Excellency Saud Rashid Al-Hujailan, First Vice-President of the Asian-African Parliamentary Council and President of the International Confederation of Asian and African Trade Unions, stressed that the Union’s Era Day represents an immortal historical milestone in the journey of the United Arab Emirates, and embodies the wise vision of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, who succeeded with his brothers the founding fathers in laying the foundations of a union that has become a global model for unity, development and stability.

In his statement on the occasion of “Union Era Day,” Al-Hujailan praised the pioneering role played by the UAE at the regional and international levels, and the pioneering model it provides in wise diplomacy and humanitarian work, in addition to its honorable positions in supporting security and stability and promoting dialogue and cooperation among peoples.

He added that the UAE, under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, continues the process of construction and achievement, and strengthens its global position through its humanitarian initiatives and its active role in consolidating peace and sustainable development, in a way that reflects the authentic values ​​​​established by Sheikh Zayed, may God have mercy on him.

Al-Hujailan extended his warmest congratulations to the leadership and people of the UAE on the occasion of “Union Era Day,” wishing the UAE continued progress and prosperity, and continued leadership in serving humanity and enhancing security and stability at the regional and international levels.
