Flydubai celebrates the launch of its first flights to Aleppo

Dubai, July 21 / WAM / Flydubai celebrated the launch of its daily direct flight to Aleppo International Airport, becoming the company’s second destination in Syria alongside the capital, Damascus.
The inaugural flight, FZ 1191, departed from Dubai International Airport yesterday, July 20, where it was received with traditional water cannons and an official reception organized by the local authorities in Aleppo.
This new route represents an important station in the expansion of the Flydubai network, as it enhances air connectivity between the Emirates and Syria, provides more flexible travel options for travelers, and also provides a convenient option for Syrians residing in the Emirates and the Gulf Cooperation Council region, especially during the peak summer travel season, in addition to the three daily flights to Damascus.
Hamad Obaidullah, Chief Commercial Officer at Flydubai, said that the launch of the company’s daily flights to Aleppo, the city, represents a step that strengthens Flydubai’s presence in Syria and confirms its commitment to linking Dubai with the main markets in the region, pointing out that since the launch of its services to Damascus last year, Flydubai has witnessed a strong demand for travel between the Emirates and Syria.
Aleppo is the latest destination to join flydubai’s growing global network, following the launch of its flights to Bangkok in Thailand and Benghazi in Libya, and its next destination is Pokhara in Nepal, starting September 23, 2026.
Direct flights to Aleppo operate daily from Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport, as part of the codeshare flights between Flydubai and Emirates Airlines.
