The Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police confirms the selection of the best competencies to lead the security work

DUBAI, July 21, 2017 (WAM) – His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, affirmed the General Command’s keenness to attract the best national competencies to join the Dubai Police Academy, which contributes to preparing future officers capable of leading security work and serving the nation efficiently and competently. This was during his inspection of the personal interview procedures for students nominated to join the 38th Batch Officer Candidates Course and the 11th Batch Female Candidates Course, in the presence of a number of police leaders.
His Excellency reviewed the mechanism of interviews, selection criteria and approved tests, which were designed in accordance with the best international practices, in a way that strengthens the position of the Dubai Police Academy as a leading institution in preparing qualified security and legal cadres, pointing out the importance of graduating competencies who possess legal and police knowledge and professional skills that keep pace with the requirements of the future.
The admission process witnessed a wide response, as the interview committee received 2,406 applications for admission to the bachelor’s programs in law and police sciences, and the bachelor’s programs in security and criminal sciences.
His Excellency Major General Eid Hareb Muhammad Thani Hareb, Chairman of the Personal Interviews Committee, confirmed that the academy has become a preferred destination for young male and female citizens who wish to obtain specialized academic and military education in accordance with the highest standards, wishing success to all applicants in passing the admission stages and joining the process of preparing national security cadres that contribute to enhancing community security and supporting the development process in the UAE.
