Al Ain City Municipality enhances the quality of family life with integrated community services and initiatives

Al Ain, July 22nd / WAM / The Al Ain City Municipality, represented by the Community Services Department, is implementing an integrated system of community services, programs and initiatives, in support of the objectives of the “Year of the Family 2026”, enhancing the quality of life, and consolidating the values of family cohesion and community cohesion, by providing an urban and community environment supportive of the family as the basic pillar for building a prosperous and sustainable society.
Saeed Abdullah Al Jabri, Head of the Community Services Operations Support Department at the Al Ain City Municipality, explained that the results recorded during the first half of 2026 embody the municipality’s keenness to develop community services and facilities that are more closely linked to the needs of families, in a way that enhances the participation of community members and improves the quality of life.
He said that the municipality organized 13 forums and community visits with the participation of 1,062 individuals from various segments of society, with the aim of enhancing direct communication with residents and listening to their opinions and suggestions, pointing out that these meetings resulted in monitoring 200 community requirements that varied between needs, suggestions, inquiries and complaints, in a way that supports efforts to develop services and improve the customer experience.
He added that the municipality continued its efforts during the first half of this year to spread community awareness and promote positive behaviors, by implementing 5 awareness campaigns that benefited 179,981 people, in addition to implementing 3,275 field awareness visits targeting various groups of society, which contributed to enhancing awareness of societal issues, consolidating the values of social responsibility, and maintaining public facilities, in support of the goals of the “Year of the Family 2026.”
He pointed out that the municipality’s indoor parks received more than 550,000 visitors, consolidating their position as community and entertainment destinations that provide a safe and prepared environment for families, and support family ties through integrated facilities that encourage spending quality time and practicing recreational activities.
Al-Jabri touched on the municipality’s wedding hall reservation service, which recorded 616 reservations during the same period, which reflects the importance of these facilities in meeting the needs of families and community members within an organized and prepared environment. He stressed that the municipality is working to enhance the readiness of these facilities and raise their operational efficiency, as it is carrying out, in cooperation with the Community Contributions Authority “Ma’an,” maintenance and development work for four wedding halls, with the work expected to be completed by the end of this year.
For her part, Mahra Rashid Al Dhaheri, Head of the Community Responsibility Department in the Al Ain City Municipality, explained that community initiatives represent an important tributary to enhancing community participation and achieving a sustainable positive impact, noting the implementation of 31 various initiatives that targeted various segments of society, and focused on enhancing community cohesion and consolidating the values of cooperation, belonging, and national identity, in a way that supports the goals of quality of life and contributes to building a more cohesive and sustainable society.
She pointed to the existing integration between community initiatives and development projects implemented by the Al Ain City Municipality with the aim of improving the quality of life and enhancing the well-being of society, as the municipality continues to implement its responsibilities in designing, maintaining and operating the infrastructure of roads, parks, green spaces and public facilities, which contributes to providing an integrated and sustainable urban environment that meets the needs of families and enhances the attractiveness of the city.
The municipality also continues to expand the establishment and maintenance of public and mini parks, develop recreational and sports facilities, and create and rehabilitate walking and sports paths between residential neighborhoods, in a way that encourages community members to adopt healthy lifestyles and provides safe spaces for practicing sports and social activities.
