More than 400 people were evacuated by sea due to a fire in an Italian town

Photos circulated showed firefighting vehicles and a Canadier plane working to extinguish the fire, which does not currently pose a threat to the homes of this town located on the coast of the Adriatic Sea.
Sighting of smoke plumes
The smoke plumes can be seen from a distance of tens of kilometers.
The mayor of Pesceci, Luigi Darenzo, said in statements to La Gazzetta del Mezzogiorno newspaper. "We are waiting for the Canadier plane to arrive from Rome. The situation is currently under control".
