المملكة: Al-Sheikh launches the “New Muslim” digital card service via “Tawakkalna”

This came in the presence of a number of Their Excellencies, Undersecretaries and Directors-General, as part of the Ministry’s efforts to develop its digital services and improve the quality of services provided to beneficiaries, in line with the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
“New Muslim Card” digital service
The project aims to automate all stages of the application to convert to Islam, from submitting the application to its approval and issuing a certified digital card that expresses the ministry’s identity and the certificate of entry into Islam, through an integrated electronic system.
The card is also linked to the “Tawakkalna” application so that it appears on personal cards once it is approved, allowing easy access and verification, in integration with the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority.
The project contributes to improving data quality, issuing accurate reports and statistics that support planning and decision-making processes, in addition to providing a verification code (QR Code) that guarantees the reliability of the card and the validity of its issuance by the official authority.
Important targets
The project achieves a number of goals, the most prominent of which is automating the procedures for applying for entry into Islam from the beginning until issuing the card, and improving the efficiency of accreditation procedures by reducing them from more than (15) stages to (4) stages only.
In addition to reducing the time for completing the request from months to a few minutes, in addition to issuing a certified digital card, archiving all data and transactions electronically, and allowing the issuance of comprehensive reports and statistics at the Kingdom level.
The project represents a qualitative leap in the development of the ministry’s services, by accelerating procedures, raising spending efficiency by reducing reliance on paper transactions, and enhancing the reliability of issuing entry cards into Islam.
It reflects the interest of the wise leadership – may God support it – in supporting digital transformation, and the keenness of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, under the guidance and follow-up of His Excellency the Minister Sheikh Dr. Abdul Latif Al Sheikh, to provide advanced digital services that contribute to serving new Muslims and achieve the highest standards of quality and efficiency, in fulfillment of the aspirations and support of the wise leadership.
