The British Prime Minister opens his diplomatic meetings by welcoming Zelensky

The two leaders will meet at a naval base and speak with Ukrainian and British military personnel participating in training to combat sea mines in preparation for future missions in the Black Sea, according to a statement issued by the British Prime Minister’s Office.
The statement quoted Burnum as saying: The United Kingdom stands in solidarity with Ukraine, and its support for it is unwavering. Russia should have no doubt about our resolve, and we will not back down until we achieve a just and lasting peace for Ukraine.
Focus on internal issues
A week has passed since Burnam assumed his position, during which he focused specifically on internal issues (purchasing power, decentralization), and this is his first diplomatic meeting after he held telephone conversations with a number of foreign leaders, including US President Donald Trump.
Britain is one of the most prominent supporters of Ukraine, and has provided it with about 25 billion pounds sterling (29.2 billion euros) since the start of the Russian invasion in 2022, including 16 billion pounds sterling in military aid.
New British jamming system
During Zelensky’s visit, the British government will announce Ukraine’s participation in the intellectual property of a new British electronic jamming system called “Stone Clock”, which is described as being able to complicate the task of Russian air defenses in monitoring and identifying drone targets.
This step will enable Kiev to produce this jamming system on a large scale, with the aim of strengthening its defense lines and defending Europe, at a time when Ukraine seeks to maintain its technological superiority in the drone war against Russia, according to Downing Street.
This jamming system is also set to be used in the next generation of British capabilities, in particular a low-cost cruise missile to be developed under the BreakStop project.
