UAE Youth National Team “Asia Runner-up” in handball

The UAE Youth Handball Team won the silver medal in the 19th Asian Youth Championship, today, Monday, in the Chinese city of Zhuzhou, after losing to its South Korean counterpart with a score of 24-25 in the final match, but it secured its qualification to the finals of the Youth World Cup scheduled in Macedonia in July 2027, after reaching the semi-finals of the Asian Championship.
The UAE team ended the first half with a five-goal lead, 13-8, before the Korean team was able to return in the second half and turn the score in its favor 24-22 with less than two minutes remaining. However, our team succeeded in equalizing 20 seconds before the final whistle, but the Korean team scored the winning and crowning goal in the last moments.
